Pinoy whiz kids score in China Primary Math Olympiad

The Filipino math wizards had proven once more to be smart in mathematics in the recently concluded 2010 China Primary Math Olympiad held on August 11-12, 2010 in Tianjin, China.

The Philippines through the MTG, Philippines sent a total of 53 mathletes to participate in the three types of contests such as the Individual Problem Solving Contest, Group Mathematical Puzzles and Games and Group Relay Round. The competition did not only challenge the participants' mathematical skills but also their analytical and creative skills in solving puzzles and games.

Leandre Noel P. Kiu of Pace Academy had emerged to be the only Pinoy math wizard to hook the Second Honors. He was a member of the Philippine Team 8 which was chosen as Philippines' Best Team. He was together with Giwon Kim of Learning Link Academy and Christopher Joseph Magno of Falcon Learning Center who were awarded Third Honors.

The fifty other young math warriors won Third Honors in the individual competition, they are as follow:
