Report: 3 killed in Cebu ambush

At least three people were killed in an ambush by motorcycle-riding men at the South Road Properties (SRP) Rabaya Road in Talisay City in Cebu province late Wednesday.

The three were riding in a pickup and were passing Cansojong village in Talisay City Wednesday afternoon when they were attacked, according to a report on Radyo Mo Nationwide.

Police initially identified the victims as Joshua Young, 30; Soledad Ipanto; and Virginia Sisbriño. 

Sisbriño was the wife of Cebu-based lawyer Raul Sisbriño, the report said.

An initial investigation showed the victims sustained gunshot wounds in the chest. The wounds indicated cal-.45 pistols were used in the ambush.

City police are looking for leads on the identities of the suspects and the motive of the ambush.
