The list of 2009 Philippines Holidays was made official by President Arroyo by signing the Presidential Proclamation 1699, which lays out the official 2009 Philippine holidays. Holiday economics has long been implemented by the Arroyo administration in order to encourage domestic tourism and to give Pinoys more time to spend with their families. The long weekends allow more time for Pinoys to go on vacation especially to the provinces. So happy holiday planning everyone!
